I am so very sorry for not posting for awhile, but I have been so extraordinarily busy. A lot has gone on in the last couple of months, and I just have been so mind boggled that I didn't think I could concentrate enough to do a proper post. However, I am at the point where I can relax a bit more and can think through writing something decent.
Well, lets go back awhile. Some things happened in my life about a month and a half ago which required me to reevaluate where the Lord wanted me in life. I had been planning to stay in East Gippsland and do my Diploma in Nursing, and that would have taken me about 2 years. However, I lost my church through a series of unfortunate events and I realized that I couldn't continue with something as big as my course with the support and fellowship of a church family.
I played with the idea of trying to get a job at ALDIS or Kmart or some such store but the idea wasn't overly appealing. I have never worked in a store, as such, and I much prefer to be at home with friends and/or family. So, I went back to the idea of working as a nanny. I have worked as a nanny before and I swore black and blue that I would never try it again. Most of my nannying experiences haven't been that great, but I decided to give it another go. It wasn't long after I started looking again that I found a family in Port Melbourne with triplets who seem to be extremely nice. They were very accepting of my terms, and they seem to be very reasonable. I will work 40 hours a week over 4 days, and then I will have the rest of the week off. I am very happy with the arrangements. Plus, the family is moving in May, and in the new house I will have my own bathroom!! YAY!!! I don't mind sharing, really, but I still LOVE when I have my own space. :)
I will be starting my new job in 3 weeks, and will have my own car which will make it so much easier to get to church and visit my family when I need to. I should be able to get work at a store (if I feel so inclined later on) on my days off, and go to the gym and the pool and whatever else there is to do around there. :) I can hardly wait. I haven't been this excited about starting something in a really long time. This job seems to be really hopeful.
Also, there is a church about half an hour away that Pastor Zooeff, of Ferntree Gully Baptist Church, recommended. It hosted the National Baptist meetings a couple years ago and seems to have a good reputation among the Baptist pastors here in Melbourne. I really pray and hope that there are some godly people there that I can get to know and learn from.
Anyway, I should sign off now. There is no one really on my blog at the moment, but when someone reads this, I hope they enjoy it. :)
Much love through Christ,
Sharlott L. Shaw.
